Actors Sehban Azim and Amrapali Gupta visit Delhi to promote the show

Blood relations are considered the strongest in our society but are they the only human ties we value? There are some unexplained relationships that barely find a definition, are not bound by law or blood but are special and unique, simply because you deeply cherish them.  Zee TV is set to launch a new fiction show, Tujhse Hai Raabta and bring its viewers an endearing story of a unique, bittersweet mother-daughter like relationship that begins to develop between two women, Anupriya and Kalyani who are not related by blood, practically strangers to each other, but tied together by an unconventional bond.

Kalyani (Reem Shaikh) is the apple of her parents’ eyes until their picture-perfect family life comes tumbling down like a pack of cards. With her mother Madhuri(Amrapali Gupta) dead in a freak incident and her father Atul(Pankaj Vishnu) arrested for the same, Kalyani is left at the behest of a stranger woman, Anupriya(Poorva Gokhale), who is now not only her sole custodian but in her head, the one person solely responsible for her family’s peril. Needless to say, Kalyani is vehemently reluctant to move into the house of Anupriya, who she wasn’t ever introduced to and strongly suspects to be her father’s mistress. Tujhse Hai Raabta invites you to follow Kalyani’s journey of avenging the loss of her family and her volatile interactions with a mother figure that she isn’t about to accept. Will Kalyani make life miserable for Anupriya and get her to rue the day she entered into a dalliance with her father? Or is she about to stumble upon a reality that changes her entire perception about her own family? Tujhse Hai Raabta is produced by Full House Media and will go on-air soon on Zee TV! To promote the show, actors Sehban Azim and Amrapali Gupta visited Delhi today.

Set against a Maharashtrian backdrop, Tujhse Hai Raabta interestingly depicts the irony of life when every relationship isn’t truly what meets the eye. While Anupriya faces many ordeals in life, she confides in and shares all her problems with Malhaar, her close family friend. An inspector by profession, Malhaar emerges as Anupriya’s biggest support and helps her in fielding the curveballs that life throws her way.

Talking about the show and his visit to Delhi, actor Sehban Azim said, “Tujhse Hai Raabta is based on a very beautiful and intriguing concept and I am excited to be a part of it. I essay the character of a cop, Malhaar Rane who swears by sincerity and honesty but at the same time has a very affable and endearing personality. I feel a strong affinity towards Malhar because of his simplicity and transparency and that makes it easier for me to essay this character. This is the second time that I am essaying a policeman on screen and I am really looking forward to it. Moreover, it feels great to be back to my hometown to start the promotions of my new show. Delhi has always held a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to visit home and meet my family.”

Amrapali Gupta said, “Tujhse Hai Raabta is a fascinating story about a unique, unexplained relationship between two women and I am really excited to be a part of such an unusual concept. I am playing the character of Madhuri Deshmukh who loves her daughter Kalyani immensely but has had her own share of unpleasant experiences that result in her indifferent and selfish behaviour. This is the first time that I will be seen in a very different look and I hope the audiences love me in this short yet impactful role. I am really excited to be in Delhi today and looking forward to shopping at Janpath market and have a pleasant experience!”

The show also includes a powerful ensemble cast including actors like Savita Prabhune, Reem Sheikh, Shagun Pande, Purva Gokhale, Pankaj Vishnu and others in pivotal roles.
