Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to reunite on screen after 17 years

Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who were last seen together in Satish Kaushik’s Hamara Dil Aapke Pass Hai in the year 2000, are coming together after almost two decades for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Fanney Khan.

Prerna Arora, producer of KriArj Entertainment, had earlier confirmed the news to the media. “Aishwarya is on board. She was our first and only choice. I can’t reveal the plot of the film, but it’s more like a slice of life.The youth will connect with the movie, and her character will inspire them. We promise you’ve never seen Ash in a role like this before. It’s diametrically opposite from her earlier films like Jazbaa and Sarabjit. In Fanney Khan she is a bundle of happiness and positive energy,” Arora had said. She also mentioned that Anil Kapoor will be a part of the venture but he won’t be cast as the lead opposite Aishwarya.  

Fanney Khan, which is in its pre-production stage is being directed by newbie Atul Manjrekar.
