ARJUN KAPOOR TO TAKE FORWARD THE NAMASTEY LONDON FRANCHISE?

Namastey London, a path-breaking film for it's time is now a decade old (we can't believe it either!). Super successful music, crackling chemistry shared between the leads and of course, Akshay Kumar is what made the film a true family entertainer. Akshay Kumar's character Arjun was a man of virtue, integrity and undying love—the reason why it connected with the audiences at such a personal level.

Ever since the news of a sequel started doing the rounds, fans like us just couldn't wait to watch Akshay back in action. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, fans might be in for a shock! The makers of the franchise have been trying to get the project started but owing to Akki's jam-packed schedule, that just couldn't happen. Now it seems that the team has decided on letting Akshay go and get Arjun Kapoor  on board to take the Namastey London franchise forward.

This news has obviously been getting mixed reactions because it's a great news for all the Arjun Kapoor fans but we can't deny feeling a little upset as Namastey London has always been synonymous with Akshay Kumar, and that's the truth. Of course, we are excited to see Arjun Kapoor pull of this role and see what freshness he adds to the film.

The second instalment of this mega hit is expected to be shot in Punjab and UK just like it's prequel and Arjun's character will be that of a 'Mischievous Romeo', as the sources suggest. Moreover if the gossip mill is to be believed, the film will have not one but two leading ladies with one of them having a shorter appearance in the film. While last year there was buzz of Sonakshi Sinha being signed for the film, the rumours doing the round presently suggest that Parineeti Chopra might be taken on board for this one.

We are happy Namastey London is finally getting the sequel it deserves but to be honest, we still haven't gotten over the first one yet! Also, hoping Akshay makes a guest appearance in the film. Maybe, just maybe!
