Bala Director Amar Kaushik Reveals The Challenge Of Shooting In Scorching Heatwave In Kanpur

Bala will surely tickle your funny bone but the team wasn’t exactly having a ball of time during shooting, here’s why

What looks like a fun ride on the big screen for the audiences, can sometimes be a roller coaster ride for the actors. The team of Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam & Bhumi Pednekar has made sure to take the entertainment to next level but looks like they faced quite a few challenges while shooting for the film.

Since the film is shot in Kanpur, the team had to go through a lot. The scorching heat of Kanpur made the shooting schedules more difficult for the entire crew as it was 45 degrees over there. The extreme hot temperature made it troublesome for Ayushmann because his make-up used to melt as prosthetics was done for his look. They shot outdoor for a few scenes in the flaming heat and the actors had to walk through the crowded & small streets of the city. Amidst all this, the team didn't even had the access for air conditioned rooms while shooting. All of this made it exhausting for the cast and crew of Bala. But despite this, Ayushmann & team managed to shoot the film and made sure that the end product is just on-point.

Revealing about the challenges, director Amar Kaushik shares, “Though our film will make everyone laugh their gut out, but the entire team had to face so many challenges while shooting in Kanpur. The weather there was so hot but still the entire crew was very supportive. Even for that matter, Ayushmann, Yami and Bhumi were always ready to do the scenes and they didn’t even bother much about the weather. These actors are so dedicated towards their craft and even they make sure that nothing related to their work is being compromised.”
