James Cameron's Avatar: The Way Of Water has created a massive stir across India with its stunning visuals and out-of-the-world VFX and CGI. Audiences have already showered their love with staggering advance sales with more than 3 weeks yet to the release.
While James Cameron has been always vocal about his inspiration for the story and the World of Pandora that he has created, he credits India for subconsciously being an inspiration for Avatar.

Bharat Se Prerna Mili

In his previous interviews, James mentioned the title was a subconscious reference to India. 'Avatar' in Sanskrit means reincarnation. Avatar and the magical land of Pandora in James Cameron’s sci-fi blockbuster may have had a subconscious reference to Hindu mythology.

He says,' “I just have loved everything, the mythology, the entire Hindu pantheon, seems so rich and vivid."

13 years ago, the blue-coloured humanoids became one of the cult favourites of people across India and even now with just 18 days to the release, the fan frenzy over the film has increased manifold.
20th Century Studios India will release 'Avatar: The Way Of Water' in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on December 16, 2022.
