CHITRANGADA SINGH OPPOSITE SAIF ALI KHAN IN BAAZAAR

After getting featured in hit item song like 'Aao Raja' or doing a guest appearance in the Akshay Kumar starrer Gabbar Is Back, Chitrangada Singh is back and will be seen in Nikkhil Advani's next 'Bazaar'. Chitrangada will be seen along with Saif Ali Khan and has been roped in by the makers to play his wife in the movie.

The movie is based largely on the stock market and set in the backdrop of Money, Power and Business. Bazaar will be directed by debutante Gauravv K Chawla. Saif will be seen playing the character of a businessman while Radhika will play the role of his secretary. The movie will also see late actor Vinod Mehra’s son Rohan making his acting debut.

According to a leading daily, Nikhil said, ""I'm happy that the cast is looking so exciting. We have Saif, Chitrangda, Radhika Apte and Rohan Mehra. The shoot has just begun and will be wrapped up by mid-August while the film is slated for a December release. Prachi has expressed interest in working with my production house but that is for another project. As far as the role of Mandira in Baazaar is concerned, Gauravv K Chawla, my director, came up with the idea of casting Chitrangda."

"I won't call it a comeback but just the fact that she hasn't done anything for quite some time was instrumental in us considering her because it's a powerful character that's silent and simmering, like a volcano about to erupt. Casting her opposite Saif makes the film about strong actors and characters," he added.

However earlier, Prachi Desai was getting considered for the lead role but later Chitrangda has replaced Prachi Desai in Nikkhil's film.
