Ekta Kapoor Feels Vikrant Messey Will Be As Saleable As Rajkummar Rao

No wonder Ekta Kapoor is being hailed as a producer who has an eye for new talent, whether it is an actor or a director. Ekta Kapoor went out of the way to suggest to former journalist Sarita Tanwar to produce the web series Broken for ALT Balaji. It is the same Ekta Kapoor who had also suggested Sonali Jaffar also of Stardust to turn a writer for her TV shows. On a personal level, I should also confess that it was Ekta Kapor herself who had suggested that I should be a part of her TV show Hum Paanch and also made me act in it along with Ashok Saraf and Shoma Anand.

The web series Broken Ekta had groomed Vikrant Massey as an actor for her TV shows. Now Vikrant Massey is a part of her series Broken produced by Sarita Tanwar. Talking about Vikrant, Ekta says fondly. “When I first met Vikrant, I knew that he had the potential to turn into a big star. My prophecy came true when he grew into a phenomenal heartthrob of television viewers. I know Rajkummar Rao from the time he acted in my web series Bose for director Hansal Mehta. Today I feel that Vikrant Massey has the potential to grow into a big star like Rajkummar Rao did in Bollywood and make me proud of having discovered him.

The web series Broken stars Vikrant Massey, Harleen Kaur Sethi, Jitin Gulati and Simran Kaur Mundi. Says Vikrant Massey, “The web series Broken is an interesting amalgamation of all my relationships till date. I have had a generic growth as an actor and have also had a broken heart.
