Has Karan Johar’s Use of K3G Song For A Masturbation Scene In Lust Stories offended Lata Mangeshkar’S Family?

Karan Johar has used the title track of his blockbuster film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001) in his recently release film Lust Stories. The scene includes the lead performing artist Kiara Advani, a recently wedded women who finds sexual fulfilment in her own hands. To revive your memory, the melodious tune was sung by none other than singing legend Lata Mangeshkar and if sources of Deccan Chronicle are to be trusted, its use in a masturbation scene has disturbed the Mangeshkar's.

If you haven’t yet watched Lust Stories, In the scene Kiara’s character is sexually satisfying herself , which is when the K3G title track plays in the background.

An infuriated  member from the Mangeshkar family has been quoted in the report as saying, “Why did Karan Johar use Lata Didi’s immortal song in such an embarrassing situation? I still remember how ecstatic Karan was when Didi had recorded the song for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He said it was a dream come true. Why turn the dream song into a nightmare now?”

The melodious track was initially picturised on Jaya Bachchan and is among the most well known tunes to have turned out from the Hindi music industry.

“At her age, we don’t want to expose her to this kind of ugly desecration of her song. But we (Mangeshkars) wonder why he needed to use a bhajan-like song sung in the most revered voice of Lataji to show his heroine in an orgasmic state. He could have used any other song,” the family member said further.
