I Have To Wear Jewellery Weighing 10 Kgs To Get Into Dilruba’s Look: Sreejita De

StarPlus’ Nazar recently saw the entry of an unconventional chudail Dilruba, who is being portrayed by popular actress Sreejita De. Dilruba has managed to grab eyeballs with her look and send chills down the spine with her peculiar laughter. But undoubtedly, the most striking and eye-catchy element of her appearance is the jewellery.

Covered from head to toe in heavy oxidised silver jewellery and bangles, Dilruba sure brings something eclectic and unique to the screen. Excited about her look, the actress revealed, “Dilruba is a very modern and stylish chudail with a distinct look. Apart from her characteristics, the first thing that drew me to the role was the silver jewellery in her neck and the bangles that cover the entire arm. Playing a never-seen-before avatar of a chudail, this is my first time wearing extremely heavy jewellery on screen. To get into Dilruba’s character, I have to wear jewellery weighing around 10 kgs. With exhausting shoot schedules and stunts as part of the show, I shoot long hours wearing the heavy jewellery. As challenging as it is, I enjoy playing Dilruba and love every bit of her look and character. I really hope the audiences enjoy watching my performance as much as I love shooting for it.”
