KARAN JOHAR COMES ON BOARD AS THE CO-PRODUCER OF SIDHARTH MALHOTRA'S VIKRAM BATRA BIOPIC

After working together in many movies like 'Student of the Year', 'Ittefaq', 'Kapoor & Sons' and 'Brothers', Karan Johar will again give back to upcoming Sidharth Malhotra's movie. Filmmaker Karan Johar on Thursday announced that he will be co-producing the upcoming biopic Vikram Batra.

Karan took to his official social media handle to share that he will be producing the project under his Dharma Productions banner along with producer Shabbir Boxwala and captioned it as , "Time to relive - Yeh Dil Mangey More. Dharma Productions and Shabbir Boxwala collaborate to present the true story of bravery and patriotism - the chronicles of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra. Talking about his character, Sidharth said in a statement, "Vikram Batra's life story will inspire you and bring a smile on your face. I am really excited to play the character and the shoot commences this year."

Sidharth will essay the role of 'Sher Shah' Vikram Batra, who was an officer of the Indian Army, posthumously awarded with the Param Vir Chakra for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War in Kashmir between India and Pakistan. He led one of the toughest operations in mountain warfare in Indian history.
