Zee TV's upcoming show 'Main Hoon Saath Tere' tells the story of a mother and her son finding a partner for their mother. This beautiful story is based in Gwalior and stars Ulka Gupta, Karan Vohra, and Nihaan Jain. Ulka Gupta is playing the character of Janvi in the serial who is a single mother and plays the role of both mother and father to her son Kian. For his mother, Kian wants a partner who will take care of his mother. Karan Vohra, who is playing the role of businessman Aryaman in the show, is ready to become the partner of Kian's mother, but Kian has some conditions for this. Tell us something about your character.
Ulka- My character Janvi is a very different character. There is a lot of pause in it and I had never played a character like Janvi till now. It has been a bit challenging for me to play it. Playing this character is a huge responsibility. Jhanvi has a lot of responsibility in her life and that is Kian what is the story behind it, you will know only through the episode. I had to try a lot of new things for this character. The audience has always seen me playing heroic characters but has never seen me playing a heroine like this. I am very happy that our posters are looking so good and people are also liking them.

You are playing the role of a mother in this, so what was your reaction when you were approached for this role?
Ulka- As we all know our mothers are heroes. Whatever we are today is because of our mothers. From our birth to our upbringing and giving us good values, our mother has done everything. We are not able to spend that much time with our father. Mother is a hero who is very close to our hearts. I have played action heroine roles a lot but have never done anything like this. Single mothers are unsung heroes in themselves. If we look at the lifestyle of our country, every mother is playing the role of a single mother. They have to see everything themselves. Single mothers get the least credit. And along with this, they also have to hear a lot from society and face many questions. All this is not easy, so through this show, we are talking about single mothers and their fight.

What kind of preparations have you made for this character?
Ulka- There was a struggle as an actor because whenever I read a scene, the director used to tell me that the love of a mother was not visible. And I used to think that what this love of a mother is that I am not able to understand. Then I thought about my mother and her life. Then I understood that love means sacrifice, it is a lifelong commitment. A mother compromises her entire life for her child. There can be no better feeling than this, so I thought why not the role of a single mother play this time?

What message will people get from your character?
Ulka- Television is a very important medium not only to entertain but also to educate. Women can do everything. Since Janvi's character is that of a single mother, she does a job and also takes care of her child. She has not thought about love yet, so Kian will try to bring love into his mother's life.
Tell us something about your character.

Karan- The name of this character is Aryaman Bundela. The story of our show is based in Gwalior. The story of the show is such that Janvi is a single mother whose son is Kian. For Kian, his mother is everything. And for Janvi, Kian is her world. Kian is looking for a partner for his mother because he sees her struggling. When Jhanvi and I meet, which has a romantic angle, Jhanvi says that she will take the relationship forward only if Kian agrees to this relationship. In every serial, a boy convinces a girl but in this, I am convincing a child so that he says yes to this relationship.

You are married, do you think it is more difficult to convince the child or is it more difficult to convince the parents?
Karan- It is easy to convince a child because if you give them anything they agree but it is difficult to convince the wife.

How different is this character from your previous character?
Karan- This character is quite different from the other characters I have played. Its story is fresh. This character is quite different because it also has a back story. He also does not get his father's love. Something happens that his father sends him out of India and he yearns for his father's love which he never gets from his father because his father abuses him. The story is about how these three come together whether Kian sees a father figure in Aryaman and what kind of bond they are going to share.
When I heard the story of this show, I found it quite cute. Recently I have become a father of twins, and my elder son's name is Arya and from there too I felt a connection with this character. I like to go to a new zone to play a character.

How much do you miss your kids when you are on shoots?
Karan- I miss them a lot. But when I am with Kian on the set, look at him and see his antics, then I also remember the time I spent with my children.

How was the experience of working with Ulka?
Karan- We have not shot much together yet. But she is a very nice person. Her vibe is very good and we all know she is a great actor. It is also fun to work with her.

What would you like to say to your fans?
Karan- I would like to tell the fans and audience that just like you have given so much love to all my shows, give the same love to this one too. I can guarantee that a show like this has never appeared on television before. You will enjoy watching this show.
