The Filmfare Fever – Kaun Banega Awardee ??-- count-down has now started, the suspense is growing. For the first time in their history, 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards ( Magazine Editor- Jitesh Pillai) will be hosting their prestigious event across two consecutive days !! That too once again at an outstation location-city in Gujarat. That’s because Gujarat Tourism is fully backing the spectacular star-studded event

The competition among the star-celeb nominations in various categories seems super-tough and exciting and interesting with blockbuster Animal receiving total 19 nominations and superstar Shah Rukh Khan competing with himself in the Best Actor category for ‘Jawan’ and Dunki’. It is exciting to note that both ‘Lord’ Bobby Deol and co-star Anil Kapoor are among the six competing Nominations for Supporting Role ( Male) category.and both for movie ‘Animal’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. If  ‘Lord’ Bobby Deol finally wins the Filmfare Award for his swag-macho Abrar Haque negative role in ‘Animal, it will be a memorable belated B’Day gift for him, because Bobby's  Bday is on January 27th !!,

Whereas in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female)  nominations Shabana Azmi is competing against herself -- for her impactful contrast roles in different movies ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Ghoomer. At the same time, there is Jaya Bachchan also vying for the Award in the same category for her powerful role in ‘Rocky Aur Rani..’.

Strangely, there seems to be No separate Filmfare category for Nominations for Comedy Roles Or  for Negative Roles

“Cinema is about two things—vibrant ethnic culture and also progressive economic growth. That is what Gujarat also stands for.
