Marathi Katta, Frankfurt Germany On Sunday

Marathi Katta Germany  is the Frankfurt based biggest association of Maharashtrian community which works as a cultural platform for  Marathi people across Germany .

Marathi Katta Germany ( MKG)  was started in March 2014 and in last four years organized more than 40 events . MKG celebrate   festivals like Ganeshotsav , Sankranti , Anniversary celebration, post Diwali get together events  , Marathi movies and plays , music events . Marathi Katta has started the first Marathi books library in Europe in Frankfurt Germany. The association also works for some social causes like supporting students in rural areas of Maharashtra.Many Marathi actors, celebrities do visit Marathi Katta Frankfurt during their Europe visit.

Marathi Katta celebrated the Ganeshotsav 2018 on Sunday 23^rd September at the biggest hall of Frankfurt , Titus Forum  .

Close to 400 people across Germany attended this function which include some local Germans as well. The association volunteers   prepared the Prasad ( Lunch) for all 400 people under the guidance of Mr. Harshal Deshpande, Monika Deshpande and Suraj Sonar.

In the second half Marathi Katta organized a music event of the famous Music composer and Marathi Singer  from Maharashtra Mr. Shri.  Shridhar Phadke . Shri. Shridhar Phadke with his unique style of singing entertained the audience. He is the son of the legendary singer and  music composer Shri. Sudhir Phadke who has composed many Marathi as well Hindi songs .

Mr. Sudhir Phadke was famous for Geet Ramayan and was one of the most famous singers and composers of his era.

Ms. Sampada Turkewadikar –Sapre from Frankfurt Germany supported him as a lead female singer. These two lead singers were supported by  Tushar Agre on Tabla , Nishad Phatak on guitar and  chorus singers from Germany . Ms. Rucha Ambekar from Frankfurt anchored this whole event  and she coordinated for music arrangements

Marathi Katta association representatives Mr. Ravi Deshpande, Mr. Kaustubh Nijasure ,Mr.Indraneel Pole and Mr. Robin Kulkarni and Kalpshree Kulkarni have taken special efforts to organize this event .

The honorable Consulate General of Frankfurt Mrs. Pratibha Parkar was present for this event and addressed the audience .

Marathi Katta will celebrate the  annual post Diwali get together on Saturday 24^th November.
