“My Film Naughty Gang Is A Hilarious Film With A Social Message Which Will Also Make Them Think A Lot”-Pankaj Kumar Virat

Writer--Director Pankaj Kumar Virat who has just completed making an out and out hilarious film called Naughty Gang decided to join hands with Rajender Kumar ,Sunder Kishan and Ritu Jain to produce his film, because it helped him financially to garner finance for the making of his film, which also has veteran actors like Mukesh Tiwari and yesteryear villain Ranjeet in the cast, besides a bunch of faces like Viren Bika renowned theatre artist from Churu Rajasthan and performs in Jaipur and other cities from last many years ,  Kaif Khan (who was recently seen in the film Phir Ussi Mod Par), Ramanjit Singh Langda aam ,Monika Ravan and Rashmi Mishra, who had earlier acted in films like Little Boy as well as Mazaaz with Vividha Kirti  and Soniya Bansal.

Pankaj adds that his film is basically about the trials and tribulations of the hero and two of his friends whose aim is to become big in a short time by resorting to short cuts and therefore plan to rob the village zamindar. Their plan misfires and is foiled and the three friends decide to flee from their native village  though the hero’s girl friends is waiting for him back at the village because she is really in  love with him.

Enroute the three friends bump into a therapy center owner who claims to change the negative energies in people and help them remove the negative energies. Leela is the head of the three women, who at times presents herself as a ghost too. Mukesh Tiwari plays the role of a Don whom is in love with a girl who is the head of the therapy centre in Goa.

Talking about the music by Paresh A Shah  in his film, Pankaj asserts that it is the highlight of the film for which Sonu Nigam , Palak Muchal ,Nakaash Aziz,Malini Awasthi,Yaseer Desai  have sung. The lyrics written by Kumar ,Rashmi Virag and Pankaj Kr.Virat

The film he said has been shot at various beautiful locatiins in four outdoor schedules . Pankaj said that he shot the portions involving the therapy centre in Goa and added that he is making his debut as a director with the film though he has directed many a TV serial ,Music Albums,TV commercials, arlier .

Pankaj Kr.Virat said that There is a lot of difference between directing a film and a TV series. You have got to stretch a scene for half an hour on TV whereas you have to consolidate an entire subject in two hours for a film.”

Pankaj who hails from Sonipat in Haryana says that he has absolutely no background as far as show business is concerned, says that he did not set out to cast any big star in his film because the budget of his film would have certainly shot up manifolds. Also a big star is bound to ask him who I am going to cast opposite him in the film and I just cannot afford to cast six big stars in a film of mine. The biggest advantage that I feel I have as a producer and director is that I am also a writer and do not have to explain the director about any particular shot for my film. I had started my career as a writer and then branched into production and direction, though have never ever acted in any film or a TV serial. I just depended on my creativity.

Pankaj , who feels that filmmaking was certainly better in earlier days when a producer did not have to pump in a lot of money to release his film after struggling to complete it , continues with gusto. “My favorite filmmakers are Raj Kapoor as well as Rohit Shetty till date. I had absolutely no bad experience at all throughout the making of my film under the banner of Panch Parmeshthi Productions Pvt Ltd.  and Tryambkam Productions  though the fact is that if I had set out to make my film with a big star cast, I may have been able to complete it even earlier.

Pankaj adds that though his film is out and out a comedy, he has also incorporated a pertinent serious message in his film that resorting to short cuts does not fetch one success. My film is based on trial and error and we set out to show that we should not forget our relations by getting enamored of money and success at any stage in our lives.

Pankaj tells with a flourish that his next project is a filmi drama titled RamDev. “I have only written the subject and will be directing it..  RamDev is a story full of romance, retaliation and thrill..

I plan to release Naughty Gang by April this year and will go on the floors with my next film Ramdev shortly too,” Pankaj Kumar winds up and signs off.
