Netflix India Unveils Its List Of Most Popular Movies, Series In 2019

Netflix has released its list of the most popular releases of 2019 in India. Sacred Games S2 (series) is the most popular release as well as the most popular release of 2019 while Kabir Singh is the most popular movie release.According to Daily Post, the platform has stated that the most popular releases indicate the diversity and variety of local and international shows and films our members enjoyed on Netflix in 2019. “We are pleased with how overwhelmingly popular Netflix’s shows and films have become- with our Original series and films featuring prominently in the lists,” Netflix stated.Four of the overall top 10 slots in most popular movie releases have been taken by Netflix films namely Drive, House Arrest, 6 Underground and Chopsticks.“70% of Netflix subscribers watch at least one film a week in India and as a percentage of overall time spent on Netflix, film viewing in India is the highest for any country worldwide,” Netflix stated. The platform Netflix will invest Rs 3000 crore in content in India in 2019 and 2020.
