SANJAY DUTT TO PLAY VILLAIN IN RANBIR KAPOOR'S SHAMSHERA

Director Karan Malhotra has got Sanjay Dutt to play the villain in Yash Raj Film's period action-adventure Shamshera. He will play the antagonist against Ranbir Kapoor in the film. This will be Sanjay Dutt's first ever film under this banner.

The film's team was looking for a villain who could match up to Ranbir Kapoor's persona, and their search ended on Sanjay Dutt. While interacting with a leading daily, Karan said: “Shamshera is a ferocious and fearless character in the film. Therefore his nemesis, the villain had to be even more fierce and monumental in every aspect. Who better than Sanjay sir to give us that impact on screen?”

Team YRF took to their social media account to confirm the details and posted an image with a caption; "We've got an ultimate casting coup! Our upcoming action adventure #Shamshera has a roaring villain against #RanbirKapoor It's the one & only @duttsanjay #KaranMalhotra | @shamsheramovie "

Shamshera is set to go on floors by the end of this year and shooting will wrap up by mid-2019.
