Simmba Movie Review : Worth The Money Or Not?

There comes a time when you need a break from your daily hush bush of life and you want to relax a bit as you want entertainment in your life, then there you find movie like Simmba to get hold of you as there's just entertainment and less of logic and other basic film-making things , just as you expect of a Rohit Shetty film.

STORY

A super-awesome and super cool top-cop Bhalerao Sangram aka Simmba (Ranveer Singh) develops a conscience after a tragedy strikes his loved one. But will his newfound integrity lead to the victory of good over evil? Get to know while you watch this one. The story revolves around Ranveer Singh as he grows up believing the fact that the one who has money has got the power and the uniform of police gives you the utmost power. So, his gold aim since his childhood is to become the 'Police' what also he has tattooed on his arm. The story is sure shot for masses and would run a lot better in single screens more than the multiplexes. Will Ranveer Become a good police or not? How is it related to Singham and more? Go to the theatre and find out.

PERFORMANCE

Ranveer Singh shines bright as the cop in this movie. Ranveer lives the character of Simmba with ease and a bit of overacting which is acceptable in Bollywood, aided by massy wisecracks in an endearing Marathi accent that will make you chuckle. But as the film gets progressively serious, his easy banter turns into tough talk for the bad guys, topped with solid action and emotion. Whether it’s the funny first half or the grim second half, Ranveer packs quite a punch.Sara Ali Khan, on the other hand has less screen time but she is worth it, and a bit of time, reminds us of her mother, Amrita Singh. The supporting cast is perfectly compiled and each one of them have performed very nicely.

DIRECTION AND EDITING

SIMMBA is sure-shot ROHIT SHETTY FILM. PERIOD. Nothing else, nothing more. One-liners, seeti-maar dialogues, action scenes and power packed performances, what else would you expect out of it? If you love massy film and you run out for the masses, this one is surely for you, talking about editing, the editing is as any other massy movie of Rohit Shetty or Dabangg or any other action packed film. So, Nothing New Here.

Conclusion

Simmba is a massy film that you expect it to be, where the good surely outweighs the bad. There are enough paisa vasool moments including the cameo by the original Singham, Ajay Devgn. And it doesn’t end there. Shetty leaves you with a parting shot of another superstar (Akshay Kumar) Yes, Surprpise, Surprise ;)  already revealing the first look of his offering in 2019. For me, It's 3/5
