Tulsi Kumar Celebrates Her Birthday With Underprivileged Kids
For prolific singer Tulsi Kumar birthdays are very private affairs. But this year she decided to spend time with some very special people at the Smile Foundation on the ocassion of her birthday.
Tulsi visited the children and happily took their requests, and sang their favourite songs, at the NGO in Delhi.
“I was greeted with the song Sanam re. We started humming songs and we sang Soch Na Sake, Mere Papa, and Dekhte Dekhte. I was surprised to see they knew the lyrics of the songs. What was even more special was that they performed to ‘Tu Laung Main Elaachi’. The warmth and love from these kids when they gave me handmade greeting cards with sweet messages written inside was what made my day,” Tulsi said.
The singer also distributed sweets and snacks, and cut a birthday cake with the children.
“My father Gulshan Kumar ji always told me that spreading happiness is the biggest gift that we can give to others and ourselves. Spending time with these wonderful children has just made my birthday even more special,” she said.
Tulsi has had a wonderful start to 2019 with her song ‘Tu Laung Main Elaachi’ from the film Lukka Chuppi which was recently No 13 on the Billboard YouTube charts along with biggies like Sam Smith.
Even her songs like ‘Paaniyo Sa’ and ‘Soch Na Sake’ have been chartbusters, and have a huge fan following globally.
