VEERE DI WEDDING GETS AN 'A' CERTIFICATE FROM CBFC

The trailer of Veere Di Wedding created quite a stir because of the bold language used by the leading ladies of the film, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. According to reports, producers Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor wanted an "A" certificate from CBFC.

This was to ensure that there are no cuts or changes from CBFC's part. Now, the foul language has been allowed in the film, thanks to Jeetendra and Anil Kapoor. The film has received an A certificate.

The primary reason for this is apparently is to ensure that there are no cuts or changes from CBFC’s part. Now, the cuss words and profanities in the trailer have been allowed to stay, courtesy Jeetendra and Anil Kapoor. The film has received an A certificate.

Deccan Chronicle quoted its source saying; "Both Jeetendra (Ekta Kapoor's father) and Anil argued heatedly in favour of the colourful language spoken in the film. They are convinced that today's youngsters speak that foul lurid leery language. Some panel members objected. But finally, the board members agreed to let the language remain intact and gave the film an 'A' certificate." Apparently, members of the CBFC "were dead against" the four women using such language.

The movie will hit the screens on 1 June.
