When Toral Rasputra turns designer on the sets of Mere Sai

There have been instances when we have to let go of our favorite hobbies due to our busy schedules. Our favourite actors also face the same situation due to their super hectic shoot schedule. But what happens when the actors get to pursue their favourite hobby on the set and that too during a shoot sequence? Yes, you heard it right!

 Recently on the sets of Sony Entertainment Televisions Mere Sai actress Toral Rasputra who plays Baija showed her amazing stitching skills. There was a shoot sequence, where Ganpatrao’s (Siddhant Karnic) drama outfits get ruined. Ganpatrao is very tensed about how to arrange new clothes for the play. He seeks the help of the village kids to help him in stitching the clothes, but the kids are unable to help him. The kids come up with a solution of asking the village women to help him stitch new clothes. All the women team up and start helping Ganpatrao in stitching the clothes. While shooting the sequence Toral got so engrossed with the stitching that she actually did beautiful embroidery work on one of the sarees to be used in the sequence! Even when the sequence was over, Toral continued to work on the saree. It came out so beautifully that everyone went gaga over her stitching skills.

 Toral Rasputra, “When I was in school, needle work was my favourite subject. But later as the time passed I got busy with my studies and later with my acting career. I did not get time to pursue stitching or trying my hands at embroidery. So when we were shooting for this particular sequence, I was absolutely delighted as if I found my long lost love. Even when the sequence was over, I made sure that I completed the work on the saree. I’m glad that everyone liked it. It definitely made me very happy!”
