WIZ KHALIFA'S SEE YOU AGAIN REPLACES GANGNAM STYLE TO SET NEW YOUTUBE RECORD

There are some songs that you play and then there are some songs that you live. And Wiz Khalifa's chart-topping number See You Again definitely falls in the latter category. And adding the jewel to the crown, the official video of See You Again featuring Charlie Puth has replaced Gangnam Style and is now the most-viewed YouTube video of all the time.

The song which was featured in Furious 7  was an on-screen tribute to actor Paul Walker, who was killed in a car accident in 2013. According to BBC News, the song has been viewed more than 2.9 billion times since the video was posted on Wiz Khalifa’s YouTube channel in April 2015.

Shortly after the feat was announced, Wiz took to Instagram thanking his fans for the love and support.

The video currently has more than 2,895,915,000 views, pushing it ahead of PSY’s 2012 song Gangnam Style, which held the record previously. Gangnam Style was the first video on YouTube to hit one billion views and was the reason why YouTube had to upgrade its views counter to accommodate such high numbers. After five long years, the title has now been handed over to Wiz Khalifa’s song  See You Again.
