Movies like Andaz Apna Apna, Pyaar Ka Punchnama and other failed to pull the audience to the theatres but have now acquired a cult status.

Andaz Apna Apna (1994)

It is hilarious that a movie like this flopped at Box-office. Salman Khan and Aamir Khan had superb performance in the movie giving it a cult status among youth of the country. All the characters of the movie leave a mark on you and are oh-so-amazing.

Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001)

The movie was a remake of hit Tamil film Minnale, but the simple story and lack of promotion made the film tanked at the box-office. When the movie was premiered on the Television, people liked it. This is considered to be a cute love story that people love to watch.

Swades (2004)

This is one of the most influential films of Shah Rukh Khan. Swades was a disaster at Box-office as people were habitual of watching Shah Rukh Khan do some masala movies. The movie was about Mohan Bhargava’s journey who discovers his lost obligation for his own country.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011)

Gangs of Wasseypur 2 (2012)

The movie that gave cool parallel cinema lovers a new favorite actually failed at the box-office. The movie was a well-made extension of its first part, but it could not gather audience in theatres. Although it gave Nawazuddin Siddique a performance he will forever be in debt for. Despite given its box office performance, the film will still be considered the Indian version of Godfather.
