5 FILMS TO PUT YOUR MONEY ON IN THE SECOND HALF OF 2017

Bollywood is one of biggest film industries in the world when it comes to producing the maximum number of films in a year. The year 2017 will be no different with hundreds of films slated to hit the silver screen. We are more than halfway into 2017 and we have already seen such diversity in our films. Potboilers like Badrinath Ki Dulhania made people smile and cry while sensible films like Hindi Medium made people sit up and think and docudramas like Sachin: A Billion Dreams were bold and informing.

The second half of 2017 has a bunch of interesting films in the bevy and here's a hand-picked list of five of these upcoming films which we think you should put your money on!

1. Jab Harry Met Sejal

Jab Harry Met Sejal would be an interesting watch as Imtiaz Ali calls out the shots to Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. We all know that Imtiaz with his themes of love, longing and finding oneself, delivers something fresh and interesting each and every time and JHMS, being a romantic drama film, who better than the king of romance, Shah Rukh Khan to play the quintessential 'Punjabi munda'? The energetic duo of Shah Rukh and Anushka has created magic in the past and going by the pre-release buzz, it seems that the audience will have a treat watching the same magic in this film as well.

2. Jagga Jasoos

Jagga Jasoos is a film which has been in the news since it's inception. Be it the innumerable delays or the much talked about alleged break-up of the lead pair during the course of the shoot of the film. Written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor, Jagga is finally set to hit the screens on 14 July 2017. Whether it's the posters, the theatrical trailer or the songs, Jagga looks like a visual spectacle and an experience which hasn't been witnessed on the Indian cinema screens before, As for us, we are damn excited to see the chemistry between Ranbir and Katrina on-screen and Basu's big return after the 2012 blockbuster Barfi.

3. JUDWAA 2

Remakes and sequels are the flavour of the season and the latest film which is all set to get a modern revamp is Salman Khan's Judwaa. The remake is being directed by David Dhawan and will star Varun Dhawan in a double role along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu as the female leads.

Well, if you have the filmy keeda and popcorn cinema is your thing, then we bet that you're as excited about this comic caper as we are! Also, we'll be looking out for Varun Dhawan, who has a 100% success rate till now and will now be stepping in the shoes of his mentor Salman Khan to recreate twice the madness.

4. Fukrey Returns

Speaking of full-on entertainment, how can we leave this one out! Fukrey was the classic case of a small-budget film proving all the trade pundits wrong and emerging a box office winner. The team of Fukrey recently announced that they have completed shooting for the film and promised that the film will be bigger, better and a hell-of-a-lot funnier!

The film is set to release on 8 December 2017 and will have the original cast reprising their original roles. We hope that we'll see you at the theatres for this one and don’t forget to buy your colas because ‘Bhaiiii, Campaaa?’

5. Tiger / Tiger Zinda Hai

And finally, the most awaited film of the year! After the lukewarm response to Tubelight, Salman Khan will return to enthral his fans with the much-anticipated sequel to the 2012 box-office smasher Ek Tha Tiger. The film titled Tiger Zinda Hai, will also have the original cast except for Angad Bedi who joins the cast to play 'Gopi' which was played by Ranvir Shorey in the first part.

We all know that Salman Khan has his own humongous fan following and if he's reuniting with his Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar and Katrina Kaif, don't be surprised if this trio knocks out all the box office records of the park in a flash.
