Well, there's no denying that art has no language and transcends all boundaries. And the winds of exchange have been blowing strong in the recent years when it comes to music in our hindi films as well. Several musicians have travelled across the seas to embrace Bollywood with their distinct styles of music. Take a look at some of the biggest international singers who sang for desi films and blended right in with our glittery world! 1. Diplo in Jab Harry Met Sejal We all know that when it comes to setting trends and marketing his films, there's no one quite like Shah Rukh Khan. When the actor recently went on a family trip to LA, little did we know that he'd surprise his fans with a special collaboration with EDM giant Diplo for his latest flick Jab Harry Met Sejal. In what is easily the biggest collaboration between Bollywood and International talent, the song titled Phurrr is a heady cocktail of Pritam's playful style and some kick-ass beats, which reek of Diplo's style. The song released recently and we just can't get enough of it! 2. Ludacris in Speedy Singh When the rapper from Justin Bieber's Baby collaborated with our own Khiladi Kumar, sparks were bound to fly. That is excatly what happened when Akshay Kumar roped in Ludacris to feature in a special song Shera di Kaum Punjabi for his production venture Speedy Singhs. RDB composed the song while the American Grammy-award-winning rapper took charge of the rap. 3. Tata Young in Dhoom The Thai pop sensation, Tata Young was one of the first international artists to sing for a Bollywood film. Her song Dhoom Dhoom added the extra spice to the Bollywood action thriller. Dhoom was one of the biggest hits of its time and Tata brought in the extra zing factor with her scintillating moves in the promotional video. Get ready to go on a nostalgia trip! 4. Kylie Minogue in Blue The 2009 Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta starer Blue tanked at the box office miserably but if there's one aspect of the film that is still fresh in our minds, it's Kylie Minogue's Chiggy Wiggy. The Australian pop sensation teamed up with the Mozart of Madras A.R. Rahman for this interesting collaboration and even went on to shake a leg in the song's video. Eight years on after it was released, it still manages to make us break into a dance! 5. Akon in Ra.One The who's who of the industry were left in awe and flocked to Mannat to catch a glimpse of the famed American songwriter and R&B sensation Akon when he visited Mumbai way back in 2010. Few months later, fans got a taste of the singer in SRK's dream project Ra.One for which the singer crooned the song Chammak Challo. The collaboration between music composers Vishal-Shekhar and Akon worked wonders as the song turned out to be a mega hit and was the most downloaded song of the year. 6. Snoop Dogg in Singh is Kinng How often would you see Snoop Dogg dressed in an Indian attire, grooving with a diamond-studded turban on his head? If there's anyone who could make him do it, then it had to be none other than Akshay Kumar. The action star raised up the notch of his comic caper Singh Is Kinng with a special promotional rap video featuring Snoop Dogg along with RDB. The video that was a shot in Chicago featured Akshay Kumar and was a massive success, much like the film itself. It's time to tune up to these songs and groove to some killer fusion beats! #Hollywood #Bollywood #Akshay Kumar #Shah Rukh Khan #songs #music #Feature #Akon #collaboration #Diplo #International Singers #Kylie Minogue #Ludacris #Snoop Dogg Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
