A book adaptation finer than the book itself- &flix brings Les Misérables

An extraordinary film with a touching message. This Sunday, &flix for the first time, will telecast Les Misérables directed by Billie August. The film starring Liam Neeson, Geoffrey Rush and Uma Thurman is based on a novel of the same name written by Victor Hugo. Set against the backdrop of post-Revolution French society, it is the story of a Frenchman who in his attempt to flee from prison, gets involved in student revolutions in France. Do not miss out on this classic running on &flix at 7:00 PM on 24th September.

Jean Valjean, a former criminal has atoned his past life and now has become a beloved mayor of a French town. But things are not easy for him as a law-obsessed policeman Javert who was a prison guard when Valjean was locked up is hellbent on capturing him and proving him guilty. The story spans several decades and is sure to keep the audience's eyes stuck on the screens as the drama unfolds.
