There are two seats in the Bollywood city of Mumbai from where stars are speculated to contest the elections. These seats are the Lok Sabha election seats of Mumbai North and Mumbai North West. Among these, the most popular election Lok Sabha seat for stars is Mumbai North West. This area is considered the area of film stars from where Sunil Dutt was MP for 18 years. His daughter Priya Dutt has been an MP. Well-known lawyer Ram Jeth Malani has contested elections from the parliamentary constituency here. The constituency in which many film personalities and celebrities (Nargis Dutt, Rekha, Jaya Bachchan, Javed Akhtar, and Sachin Tendulkar) have been Rajya Sabha MPs. These days the news is strong that Bhartiya Janata Party wants Madhuri Dixit to contest elections as its Lok Sabha candidate from this area.

The voter population of Mumbai North West is more than 1.6 million i.e., around 17 lakhs. Pali Hill, this area of Bandra is mostly inhabited by film people. Many big film stars and their family members are voters here. If Madhuri Dixit contests elections from here then obviously she is going to get everyone's votes. During elections in this area, when Sunil Dutt's campaign convoy used to come out, all the open trucks were filled with stars and film people. The roads were jammed with crowds watching him. Recently, Madhuri Dixit has been seen meeting Maharashtra leaders Ajit Dada Pawar, Ashish Sellar, Praful Patel etc. There has also been talk of her contesting elections from Pune. But these days it is understood that she is looking for electoral ground for herself in Mumbai. Madhuri is now living a completely carefree life. Now she is not burdened with shooting dates, her children are also growing up. Her husband Dr. Shriram Nene has also started living with her in Mumbai.
