The world renowned music maestro A. R. Rahman graced the music launch of writer-producer-director Trupti Bhoire’s latest Marathi film Majha Agadbam at the Hotel Taj Land’s End in Bandra on Saturday in order to bless his erstwhile assistant Satish Chakravarti, who has also composed for the film besides being its producer. The film Majha Agadbam stars Trupti Bhoire and Subodh Bhave in the lead with Usha Nadkarni and Tanaji, who shot to fame with his supporting role in the Marathi super duper hit Sairat. Stating that he is also in awe with Marathi folk lore and culture though he is a Tamilian by birth, A. R Rahman , when prodded by Subosh Bhave who openly told him on the stage that he was ready to launch a film in Marathi with A R Rahman as the music director, if Rahman was willing to consider making his debut in Marathi films too, as a music director, especially since Ilayaraja had also earlier composed for Trupti Bhoire’s Marathi film, A.R. Rahman said that since he loves Marahi films which are being of late because of their content confessed that he would surely think of taking his step as a music director in Marathi films too at the right time. It may be recalled that way back in 2011, the doyen of South Indian music maestro Ilayaraja had tuned music for a Marathi film Hello Jayhind, produced by Trupti with Gajendra Ahire as the director, free of charge. The film was based on the rocking 26/11 incidents in Mumbai. And since Satish Chakravarti had recently married Trupti Bhoire, we hope Rahman has no reason at all to say No to composing music for Trupti Bhoire’s next film.
