<strong>Aaj phir ‘milne’ ki tamanna hai ?—hit pair Ajay Devgn and Tabu --9^th film ‘together’ in ‘Bholaa’</strong> <strong>--- by Chaitanya  Padukone</strong>

The invited preview audience for the first screening of  enthralling Teaser-2 of mega-star Ajay Devgn’s latest  action-packed ‘directorial’  venture ‘ Bholaa’ seemed highly impressed as they applauded and cheered. Interestingly, just the mukhdaa of the evergreen milestone filmy melody  ‘ Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai—Aaj Phir Marne Ka Iraada Hai’  (from Hindi movie ‘Guide’ 1965) has been effectively used twice as the recreated background vocals  enhancing the high-octane fiery-action-dramatic scenes.

Speaking to me exclusively, Ajay Devgn said  that  “the song  lyrics  perfectly blended  with the visuals, hence I used the mukhdaa,”  Yet again, Tabu has been paired opposite Ajay Devgn (remember them as co-stars in the runaway hit —the lucky mascot box-office screen-pair.   Yet again,  ( after  ‘Drishyam-2’ ) Tabu  is playing the role of a fearless, bold,  senior police officer iwielding a revolver n the movie.  Ajay Devgn is seen wearing a dark-coloured kurta and a  ‘gamchaa’  wrapped around his neck. The blockbuster movie Bholaa is expected to be released on March 30, 2023 in regular  2D and also in 3D and IMAX formats.

'Bholaa' marks Ajay's fourth directorial film after 'U, Me Aur Hum' in 2008, 'Shivaay in 2016, and 'Runwav 34' in 2022. This film ‘Bholaa’ is co-produced by Ajay Devgn, (Bhushan Kumar)T-Series,  (Shibashish Sarkar) Reliance Entertainment and Dream Warrior Pictures ‘Bholaa’  is the Hindi adapted official remake of 2019's Tamil superhit 'Kaithi' ( prisoner) .The original film revolved around an ex-convict who decides to meet his daughter for the first time after being released from prison but gets caught in a face-off between police and the drug mafia. Tabu and Ajay who share a wonderful off-screen personal bonding have been paired together romantically or  as co-stars  screen in eight previous films including 'Vijaypath', 'Haqeeqat', 'Thakshak' , 'Fitoor', 'Drishyam', 'Golmaal Again' and 'De De Pyaar De' and the runaway mega-hit Drishyam-2 .

Praising Ajay’s skills as a technically-competent excellent  director who knew his job perfectly, and also he clearly knew what is unnecessary.  For the first time, Ajay was directing Tabu in ‘Bholaa’ ! In a jestful mood,  the tall, charming actress joked, that while at work, the serious, reticent  “Ajay would not even smile at her or laugh, while taking the shots ”. That’s when Ajay reacted by insisting that “Tabu was always over-pampered by them while on the sets. Their warm bonding was evident when on stage Tabu planted a spontaneous kiss-peck on Ajay’s cheek and everyone watching were so delighted.

Incidentally, the serious Ajay has cast the otherwise popular veteran comedian actor Sanjay Mishra ( of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa-2 fame) in a serious role. “ This time there will not be the usual loud laughter , when my fans watch me in ‘Bholaa’ . Where Ajay-Sir has dared to cast me in a different screen-avataar and as a versatile actor I am grateful to him, “ said Sanjay speaking to me.
