The film, titled Salute, will also be co-produced under the actor's banner (AKP). According to media reports, Aamir has big plans for the film and is involved in every aspect, including casting. Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian to go into space in 1984. The biopic will be directed by Mahesh Mathai, who has also made films like Bhopal Express and Broken Threads.
