If there is any individual who needs the help of social media to let her fan and admirers know about her , it is Deepti Naval - Ali Peter John

Deepti is not just a very talented actress, but a poet, a painter, a writer, a screen play writer and also a director.

She has always had so much to led her admirers know about her and the print media was not giving her the opportunity to express herself.

She was nursing a complain about not being given enough opportunities to express herself...

She was not in favor of social media , till she realised its potential when she went to london to shoot for a flim to be made for an OTT platform.

She started off with posting pictures about herself and the first few photographs she put on Facebook were photographs of her when she first came to Mumbai from New York.

This was a good experience for her because she found thousands of reaction to her photographs .

This gave her the encouragement to post many other photographs and the reactions of people of all ages kept inspiring her to post some of her writings and poems and even scenes from her early flims which got her many more admirer .

She is perhaps the only star who has not received any negative vibes or reaction on her Facebook account.

She is now even posting complete scenes of some of her early flims and only last week , she posted an entire episode of a T.V serial she had done with Mrinal Sen as her director for the first time and the response again has been tremendous.

She even posted her moving interview were she talks about her experience of working with Dilip Kumar in Subhash Ghai's Saudagar .

She is now very excited and charged about posting things on her Facebook that she even posts some of her paintings and in a recent talk with me , she was speaking from London where she was wrapping up the shoot of her new flim and she said , " Facebook is a very good medium of expressing ideas and telling people what you are doing " .

Deepti who will soon move to New York to complete work on her book , " a county called childhood " is sure that she will need social media to promote her book .

I asked her if she would put any of her bold painting on Facebook and she said , " I feel that I have to seriously think about my paintings because they are too personal , but if the reaction of my admirer keep growing, I may have to give it a serious thought, but till then I am happy and excited about my journey with Facebook " .
