Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub Yas Island ensures enhanced safety measures for tourists with its ‘Yas Wellness Program’

Since the outbreak of Covid 19, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, has made health and safety its top priority – Jyothi Venkatesh

Due to the country’s quick and effective response they have become the first destination in Abu Dhabi to receive the coveted WTTC ‘Safe Travels’ stamp in recognition of our advanced safety efforts.

Taking the safety measures a notch higher Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, launched its ‘Yas Wellness Program’.

The initiative offers all visitors and prospective guests a direct line of communication to specially trained team members to answer all queries and concerns before they visit the island.

Yas Wellness Ambassadors are available across multiple platforms, including phone, social media, WhatsApp and email, to answer guests’ questions on the health and safety measures in place at the reopened Yas Theme Parks and attractions.

The ambassadors will also be on hand to answer queries regarding openings and closures across the island, hotel reopening dates and general visitor information.

Driving the measures under the Yas Wellness Program is the commitment to the health and safety of guests, of which Yas Island has implemented the following safety measures, in line with government directives and international best practices and standards:

  •  Across Yas Theme Parks and attractions safety measures in place include; mandatory online booking for all guests, including Annual Passholders, to ensure that the limited capacity is adhered to.
  •  Thermal screening cameras, safe distance markers at all rides and outlets, modified ride capacity and adapted dining and shopping experiences, to ensure returning guests have a safe and enjoyable experience across all Yas Island attractions.
  •  Upon booking tickets online, guests will receive a confirmation e-mail detailing the health and safety measures they can expect, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the precautions ahead of time. Guests encouraged to download the respective smartphone apps for each park to enhance their contactless experience when they visit.

The health and safety of guests is Yas Island’s top priority and the destination has implemented a variety of precautionary measures to ensure that guests and employees feel safe at all Yas Theme Parks and attractions, as well as the hotels.

Yas Island has doubled the cleaning teams and reduced capacity across all attractions, increased the frequency of sanitization at frequent touch points and high traffic areas, and defined clear and separate entry and exit points.

Social distancing policies are in place and all visitors are mandated to wear masks at all times. Non-compliance by visitors will lead to refusal of entry to the facilities.

Colleagues will have protective masks on at all times, with confirmed negative tests and their temperature checked regularly.

In addition, the Yas Mall virtual customer service experience addresses all customer service needs through contactless tablet devices and contactless payment encouraged.

These measures are in place to ensure returning guests have a safe and enjoyable experience across all Yas Island attractions.
