Actor and former cricketer Salil Ankola has impressed sports fans and audiences over the years, and it seems his son Karan Ankola is all set to follow in his footsteps.

The veteran actor has finally opened up about how his son Karan is getting work 'by his own efforts' and doesn't need his father to get work in this field.

Actually when asked why he didn't launch his son, Salil said, "Sham (Kaushal) Paaji has been one of the top action directors of Bollywood for more than three decades.

Despite this his son Vicky Kaushal took some time to get his first break and then had to wait for another 4-5 years to get the famous and big film 'Uri'.

When you achieve success by continuously fighting for these achievements, you feel proud of yourself. I also want my son to go through his career journey without my support.”

Praising his son for his discipline, focus and dedication, Salil Ankola clarified, "Many people ask why I didn't take the initiative to launch my son.

I want him to get roles because of his talent and I am very happy that his efforts are always being noticed and appreciated."

Meanwhile, Karan has many offers coming up, but he wants to do something interesting and provide something meaningful to the audience with wide visibility of his work.
