Bijay Anand has moved away from the hullabaloo and chaos of city life to his farmhouse/healing center to live a peaceful and quieter life.

While some of us struggle to take a weekend off and spend some time in nature, surrounded by birds, butterflies and forests, this is the life that Bijay has now chosen to experience bliss on a daily basis.

“I am blessed”, says Bijay. “There came a time in my life when I did not see the point of living in the city only to be closer to my friends and family. I anyways don’t socialize or party much. I prefer to eat at home and am really really distressed about the levels of pollution in Mumbai. Not to mention the traffic and noise pollution. Which is why I decided to just move.”

Bijay, who will next be seen in Vidyut Jamwal’s IB71 as well as Om Raut’s Adipurush, is also known for his stellar performance in the Kajol and Ajay Devgn starrer, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. He was acknowledged for his amazing performance in Shershah and also received quite a huge response from the public for his astute portrayal of King Janak in Siya Ke Ram.

Talking about what keeps him busy in his farmhouse,  Bijay laughs, “My wife complains that when I travel to any country in the world be it Mexico, London or Barcelona, I call her 15-20 times a day and yet, when I am at the farm, I hardly call her once or twice in the entire day. I wake up at 4.30, do my yoga, go for a walk, come back have breakfast and after tending to the morning chores of the farm and my garden, either go to the gym or for a swim. The entire day just zooms past me and I love the fresh air and the connection that I feel there with nature.”

He signs off philosophically, “The day we realize that we are in a rat race in which we lose even if we win, we realize that life is much more than fancy cars, palatial houses and big bank balances. Life is about experiencing every second, every minute, every day and celebrating every breath that has been gifted to us by our divine Mother Nature.”

And we say “Amen” to that…
