Shredding the so called mainstream distributors to pieces, actor- director Aditya Om , who has to his credit several films in Telugu besides Bandook and his latest Massaab, came on them heavily by stating that though each and every film just cannot turn out to be another Bahubali or for that matter Robot or Simmba, the distributors who rule the scene today behave like they are nothing but Mafias and decide whether a film should be distributed digitally or in theatres. Aditya was talking to the media after the screening of his latest film Massaab starring actor Shiva Suryavanshi in the title role of the teacher at the recently concluded 17th Third Asian Film Festival in Mumbai at Citylight.

Aditya Om exulted, “The problem with every distributor is that every one without any exception wants to ride on a bankable commodity because none of them wants to take a calculated risk. I am of the opinion that instead of splurging say 200 crores of rupees on a big budgeted film starring any Khan, whether it is Salman Khan or Aamir Khan or for that matter Shah Rukh Khan, whose last release have flunked badly at the box office, whether it is Race 3, Thugs of Hindostaan or for that matter Zero, these distributors should be wiser and spend on 15 different small budgeted films which drive home a subtle message to the audiences with out of the box content. Today after making my own films as ana c tor and producer, I think I am in a position today where I can proudly say that I am not struggling but I have learnt to con people.”
