The actor is known to have gone the extra mile to get into the skin of his character as he will soon be seen essaying a lead role for the first time in Star Plus’ upcoming show ‘Imlie’. Gashmeer will be seen portraying the role of a journalist, Aditya Kumar Tripathi and since the character backdrop is set up in Delhi, Gashmeer had to pull out all the stops to perfect his on-screen avatar. The talented actor believes in working on himself and not seeking inspiration from another as it tends to limit one’s performance. In the meanwhile, Gashmeer has also been working on perfecting the dialect required for his character. All of this has helped him shape Aditya as a character in the show. On that note, Gashmeer who is keen on fitting into his character says “In the show, Aditya hails from Delhi and it was important for me to perfect the tone of how Delhiites speak hence I spend some time with our dialect coach who is always present on set to help us. At the same time, I do not believe in seeking inspiration from another but on working on myself and improving my performance as it helps in not limiting oneself or a certain performance. It keeps the character real and natural which is what the show is all about, no melodrama just pure act performances. I’m positive the audiences will enjoy watching our show.” Imlie, produced by Gul Khan also features Sumbul Touqueer Khan (Imlie) and Mayuri Prabhakar Deshmukh (Malini) in lead roles.
