Actor M.L.A Dr. Amol Kolhe To Depict Shivpratap By Producing Not Just One But Three Historical Movies

Whenever there is news that a new movie based on some historical event is going to be produced, immense amount of curiosity is generated. After having played historical roles in plays and television serials, actor MLA Dr. Amol Kolhe is ready to produce three films based on three brilliant and extraordinary episodes in the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. A great era ‘Shivpratap’will be depicted in a series of three films namely ‘Waghnakh’, ‘Vachpa’ and ‘Garudzep’.The movies will be produced by Dr. Amol Kolhe’s ‘Jagdamb Creations’, about which he recently announced. He said that he would experience Shivashahi through these movies. Dr. Amol Kolhe, Dr. Ghanshyam Rao and Vilas Sawant are the producers. Of these, the first movie ‘Waghnakh’ will be released on the 6th November 2020. Kartik Kendhe will be directing the movie and the writer is Pratap Gangawane. The shooting will commence from January. Dr. Amole Kolhe plays the central role. How Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with his intelligence and bravery killed Afzal Khan, is the theme of this movie, ‘Waghnakh’. After the death of Afzal Khan, Aureangzeb sent Shahista Khan to take care of Chhatrapati. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj drove away Shahista Khan and to compensate for the damage caused to the kingdom, Chhatrapati went on the Surat campaign and took revenge on Shahista Khan. This is depicted in the movie ‘Vachpa’. This was a fine example of Chhatrapati’s politics. This extraordinary politics will be seen in ‘Vachpa’.  The escape from Agra is one of the glorious events in the history of India. This gives us the glimpse of Chhatrapati’s political acumen, his intelligence and farsightedness. This we will be see in the movie ‘Garudzep’. With the intention of giving a wide coverage to this inspiring life in India and all over the world, the three movies will be produced in Marathi and English. At the event Dr. Amol Kolhe said that history was always a subject close to his heart. Post-operandi these leadership qualities leave behind a lot of life lessons. Through this trilogy of ‘Shivpratap’ we want to bring this to the people. After a period six months there will be another announcement of three more films. These movies will set an ideal for today’s youngsters and give them a direction in life. Hence the importance of these movies will be immense and extraordinary.
