Actor Manish Raisinghan joins Sony Entertainment Television's 'Kathaa Ankahee'

 Sony Entertainment Television’s Katha Ankahee has etched a special place in the hearts of viewers with its endearing love story born out of repentance. Featuring Adnan Khan and Aditi Dev Sharma as Viaan and Katha, the plot follows their journey as they confront life's obstacles together. Just when Katha and Viaan were all set to embark on a new journey in their relationship, a new storm came knocking at their door destroying their happiness and separating them. After Viaan and Katha’s wedding was called off, the show took a 8 month leap bringing in new twists and new relationship dynamics in the story. In the midst of a new twist, the show has witnessed a new man in Katha’s life named Raghav, essayed by the charming actor Manish Raisinghan.

Post the leap, the viewers witnessed significant changes in Viaan and Katha's lives. Moving on from the past, Katha has started her own venture by opening her event company while also putting all her effort as a mother to help Aarav, overcome the trauma that he went into after learning about Viaan's behavior towards her. On the other hand, Viaan who was incarcerated for a reason unknown has been released from jail. Amidst all of this, Katha has found a companion in Raghav, a doctor who has helped Aarav come out of the trauma. Looking at Aarav and Raghav’s relationship, Katha decides to get married to Raghav.

Having won the hearts of television enthusiasts for almost two decades with his portrayal of diverse characters, actor Manish Raisinghan is seen in the pivotal role of Raghav on Kathaa Ankahee; acting as the third wheel between Katha and Viaan’s love story. Talking about his character, Manish shares, “The moment I was being narrated the story and character, I instantly said yes to the project. The show has been an audience favorite right from the start and I truly couldn’t miss being a part of this show. Plus, it’s an interesting role as I’m playing a doctor for the first time in my career. I believe it’s essential for an actor to explore new horizons and this is something very different from what I have done earlier.

My character plays a pivotal role in helping Katha and her son navigate a challenging situation. He is this comfort that Katha needs when dealing with Aarav. He is very understanding and realistic. And, he appreciates Katha’s efforts as a mother and loves the caring side the most about her. One thing that makes their relationship special is that it’s a very mature relationship. And, it will be fascinating to witness how their lives transform with his involvement in their life. I hope to do justice to the character and the narrative through my performance and contribute in my own small way. I promise to bring my best to the table and hope that viewers will continue to shower their love and support as always.
