ACTOR VIKRAM CHATTERJEE ARRESTED IN SONIKA CHAUHAN'S MURDER CASE

After more than two months of investigation, TV Actor Vikram Chatterjee has been arrested in model-turned-anchor Sonika Chauhan's car crash case. Vikram has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder (Section 304 of the IPC), which means he can be imprisoned for up to 10 years.

The horrific incident took place on the night of April 29 when Vikram was going to drop Sonika home after a party around 3:30 am. This is when the car rammed the pavement and tossed. According to The Indian Express, forensic analysis was conducted on the car thrice and the results indicated that the car was moving at a speed of more than 100 kilometres per hour.

Initially, Vikram had denied that he was driving under the influence of alcohol but later admitted that he was indeed a bit drunk. The CCTV footage of the area, bills of the bar and pictures shared by Sonika's friends—all seem to indicate that Vikram was the reason behind the car crash. According to NDTV reports, a policeman said 'There are enough evidences against the TV actor'.
