Actors open up about their special bonds with daughters By Bollyy 25 Sep 2023 in TV News New Update Follow Us Share International Daughters Day is celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday of September to celebrate girl child. On this special day, &TV artists and real-life parents, share their enduring and cherished bonds with daughters. These include Mohit Dagga (Ashok, Doosri Maa), Sapna Sikarwar (Bimlesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Mohit Dagga, aka Ashok from Doosri Maa, shares, "The day Ashwika was born, my entire family felt it was the biggest blessing for all of us. I remember her curly hair and big eyes looking at me adorably. We are best friends in the house, and I feel proud as a father when Ashwika shares everything with me. As a kid, she is compassionate, loving, disciplined, and creative. She is a sincere and studious child who aspires to become an IAS officer. One day, we were both watching an interview of an IAS officer, and that inspired her so much that she decided to pursue a similar career. I feel extremely proud when she says that she wants to bring positive change to our society. Her simplicity and understanding of situations make me proud to have a daughter like her. Since the day I shifted to Jaipur for the Doosri Maa shoot, she never misses a day to call and ask me, 'Dad, did you eat something?' No matter how busy she is with school or academics, she always keeps a check on my wellbeing. Whenever I visit home, Ashwika is like a chirpy bird who fills the house with happiness and positivity. So, on this National Daughter's Day, acknowledge your daughter by telling her how important she is to you." Sapna Sikarwar, Bimlesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “The bond between a mother and daughter is truly special, and I am blessed to have a lovely daughter, Maanya. Daughters are nothing less than miracles. I have always worked hard to provide the best for Maanya and ensure her well-being. Now that she's mature and self-sufficient, our roles have reversed! My 12-year-old Maanya takes care of me, looks after my health, and takes care of the entire family. We often find time to go shopping, cook special meals, or watch movies together – my husband, Maanya, and I. She never leaves me alone, and I feel immensely fortunate to have her in my life. She makes me a proud mother. I hope all her dreams come true. Happy Daughter's Day.” Shubhangi Atre, Angoori Bhabi from Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Daughters are angels sent from heaven to fill our hearts with unending love. I feel proud to have a loving daughter like Ashi, and I am always there to support and motivate in all her endeavors. We are also best friends. For a mother, her daughter is not a source of tension, but she is like ten-sons who can take care of the entire family singlehandedly. Regardless of time and distance, Ashi never forgets to call me in the morning and reminds me to take my medicines on time. I still vividly remember the day she was born; holding her tiny hands was the most adorable memory of my life. My entire family congratulated me, saying, 'Badhai ho ghar Laxmi aayi hai'. She is one of my wishes that came true. Happy Daughters Day to all the amazing parents and daughters out there."
