I donated a lot of stuff, did a campaign for supporting police and also made a short film on domestic violence. I also continued to share spiritual and positive quotes through my social media handles. I also kept entertaining the public with my renditions during lockdown. This award is a result of all of this effort. It’s always a nice humble feeling when you are being rewarded for your contribution to the society and this time it was special as I have received this from the governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari. It was a special day of my life and will always be embedded in my memory.” She adds, "Awards are nothing but a form of appreciation. It makes me happy and I get encouragement.” So what’s important to you? “For me, appreciation of my creativity comes first. Also, the name comes first to me. When there is a name there is fame. And then awards and money follow if you are lucky. An actor’s life is not easy. One is working continuously with make-up and without having proper rest. Sometimes you need to look good and fit in front of the camera even when you are not feeling well. I also want to thank my mother for her unconditional and constant support towards me. I also want to thank all the production houses for giving me the nicest roles which I have portrayed in front of the camera and then I am grateful to my fans for making it a hit.” Related Articles Latest Stories Read the Next Article
