Actress turned-director Revathi reveals the reason behind signing Vishal Jethwa for the role of Venky in Salaam Venky on The Kapil Sharma Show

Sony Entertainment Television’s The Kapil Sharma Show is all set to take you on a fun rollercoaster ride filled with endless laughter, comedy and a lot of entertainment. The Salaam Venky team will grace the show featuring effervescent actress, Kajol, rising star Vishal Jethwa and actress turned director par excellence Revathi. Kajol with her bubbly and fun personality will take the entertainment quotient a notch higher on The Kapil Sharma Show as she laughed out loud as she enjoyed the amusing antics of Kapil and his atrangi parivaar along with Vishal and Revathi. Amidst all the fun, the special guest will be seen sharing some interesting tidbits about their upcoming movie and their journey in Bollywood.

Making an interesting revelation, actor turned director Revathi who is fondly remembered for her iconic role as Maggie in 1991’s movie Love shared her experience of making the movie ‘Salaam Venky’. Along with this she shared the reason why she signed Vishal Jethwa for the role of Venky saying, “When we narrated the script of Salaam Venky to Vishal, we could notice how involved he was in the script. So, I felt that he would understand the character’s depth to the T. But as you know artists are always accompanied by their managers who handle their dates and everything, so before the whole drama starts with the dates, I called up my producer Suraj and fixed Vishal for the character of Venky saying we need him for this movie.”
