Afreen Alvi: I am aiming for a good lead on a tv show or OTT series

Actress Afreen Alvi who has done shows like Naagin and Shubh Labh is looking for a good role on television or OTT. She has been away from acting for a year now.

There is a very important rule in the industry - out of sight means out of mind. If artists do not make themselves visible, they might end up not getting much work. This is quite a stressful situation. Afreen Alvi shares her views on this.

“This is what the industry has been following in the past years and according to me, it does add to the pressure. But now we have so many platforms to showcase our talent, creativity and skills. I believe that just sitting at home and feeling pressured is not applicable anymore."

Afreen Alvi also adds,” This one year I am away because I had my brother’s wedding to attend and spent some great quality time with my family. I did miss my work but that’s the choice I have made to give time to my near and dear ones. Yes, I got some opportunities in the last year but whenever I used to get some audition calls I was away from Mumbai. But right now I am back and I am all dedicated to my work. I am giving auditions and hoping for the best. I am aiming for a good lead on a tv show or in an OTT series.” OTT series’ have bold scenes and abusive language so are you ready for that? “If the role and opportunity are big I don’t mind playing it.”
