Aftab Shivdasani,” Will do Grand Masti” next franchise, Never say never"” By Lipika Varma

Aftab Shivdasani who has donned a variety of roles in all his films from comedy to emotional and he has unhesitatingly done an adult comedy –Great Grand Masti as well.

He is all eager to do the next franchise of Grand MSYI IF MADE.Aftab can vouch for an excellent journey in films.

He dons an interesting character in this action thriller series titled Special OPS-1.5 season 2….this November.

You made your debut down south will we see you doing any film down south anytime soon?

Yes, I ventured south in 2018 . I got the film through somebody. A friend of mine always wanted me to do something down south.

I also did a Kannada film and Keecha Sudeep is a dear friend. And with regards doing more films down South, am I open for it?

You have been included as the cast in the second season, “Special ops season 1.5 how did all this happen?

I had seen the first season and was a complete fan of the show. I send Neeraj sir a message .

I didn't know eventually be 1.5 casting called me and offered me the part.Neeraj sir narrated me the character in a nutshell .

I wanted to be part of the show one of my pleasure of working with him thus jump on to the opportunity favourite show

What is your character elaborate?

Unfortunately I can't divulge my character. It’s an important series inherently that intensity seeps in.

The first series was watched and loved by the audiences. So we are trying our best to take this franchise ahead in a better way.

About my role when the show is premiered you will see everything has been classified well. I cannot elaborate about my role.

Because that’s the entire factor which is a secret but very interesting and completely enjoyed playing something like this character? I am happy to get the opportunity to be on the show.

Adding a little he says, “Raw agent characters' requirement of the essence needs to be brought about. So we tried to look the part of the character.

Neeraj writes so well that as an actor you just have to do your part and just fill it up.it goes to another level.

We have added our own personal humble contribution. Special Ops-1.5 is a huge brand .We just have to make it bigger. We tried hard.1st season got that l8ve we get now.

How was your experience working with director Neeraj Pandey?

It’s been amazing working with Neeraj sir.I wish I can work with him again. I never met someone with such a clear vision as to what he wants.Neeraj sir is a genius.

The quality of his work is seen as he has directed this kind of films and also different genres. It’s a pleasure for an actor to work with him.

It’s absolutely great collaborating with him. I only want audiences to watch films in theatres taking all the precautions and following all the protocols.

Where all did you guys shoot for Special Ops 1.5 season 2?

We shot in India, Ukraine and Mauritius as that was the demand of the story. The requirement for this could never be compromised, usually Neeraj Sir never compromises on the scale that it was important to shoot in those countries to establish the scale.

How do you look at the OTT invention? Watching films in theatres is going to begin soon in Maharashtra and all over your take?

It’s a great medium for actors and technicians opportunities through this medium.

It’s a great medium as actor/directors and tell great stories also there is freedom of making it accordingly This gives opportunity thus the time is great time tell great stories. ..if the content is good the audiences can enjoy also on ott you get so many options and if you like a show it has to speaks for itself .

We can co-exist with cinema theatres and watch larger than life films. Watching films in theatres gives a different feel.

The specialty of watching cinema in theatres has always been different and enjoyable.

If,”Grand Mast” next franchise is made will you join the bandwagon?

I had tried this kind of comedy for the first time. The best part was that family audiences also loved this genre.

This film will always be very close to my heart. I had done a comedy film, “love ke liye kuch bhi karega ..However this adult comedy genre was different .

After reading the script I knew it represents each character strongly enough hence I decided to opt for this character and the role.

Also I always tried to do something different. Yes why not if the franchise is carried forward it’s like…Never say never.

However, I have read a few scripts .I can only reveal after I sign on the dotted lines. Yet the signing spree is in the pipeline.
