AFTER MOUNI ROY, ANOTHER TV ACTRESS NIKITA DUTTA TO BE CAST IN GOLD

Khiladi Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Gold is in the news for many reasons. Be it the gripping story of the first gold that India won as a free nation in 1948 London Olympics, or Akshay  Kumar's look, or small screen's very own 'Naagin' aka Mouni Roy's Bollywood debut.

Now, there's another interesting piece of information that is doing the rounds. Another TV actress, Nikita Dutta, is reportedly also being cast in the Reema Kagti film. A source close to the actress reportedly told Mumbai Mirror about her role. "Nikita started shooting for her portions in the film in Amritsar in the second week of September and will be there for another 15 days for some more romantic sequences with Sunny. She also has some important scenes with Akshay, which will be shot at a later date as the actor is back in Mumbai for his television show," the source had said.

After her Gold schedule, Nikita, who recently wrapped up the Mauritius schedule of her show, will resume her shooting for Haasil, an upcoming show which has managed to grab the attention of the viewers since it marks Zayed Khan’s TV debut.

Nikita is a popular television star and has been part of shows like Ek Duje Ke Vaaste and Dream Girl. Gold is not her Bollywood debut because she played a small role in the Armaan Jain starrer, Le Kar Hum Deewana Dil.

Based on celebrated hockey player Balbir Singh, who led India to victory in three consecutive Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956, Gold is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film boasts of an enviable cast and also stars Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor. The film is slated to be released during the Independence Day weekend in 2018.
