After Sarabjit, Vinod Tharani Acts In Short Film

Actor-writer Vinod Tharani was last seen in Sarabjit and will now be seen in a short film titled ‘Punyatithi: Death Anniversary’. This is no ordinary film and has been officially selected to be screened at the Jagran film festival on 27th Sep 2018. “It’s a film about secularism and is based on the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition where two friends from different religions become each other’s enemy. It’s a film about trust and friendship,” says Vinod, who character is shown at 35 years as well as 64 years of age in the film. Meanwhile, the actor adds that the digital platform has a very bright future today. Says Vinod, “Digital platforms are providing big opportunities for independent filmmakers and film technicians today. It’s also an important platform of freedom of speech. I want to act in all kind of movies where I get to portray challenging characters. I want to take on roles where I can push my limits and get into the skin of the character! Be it a comic role or playing intense characters, I will take up movies where I can get immense creative satisfaction and popularity as an actor.”
