Ahead Of The 11th Anniversary Of The 26/11 Attacks, Makers Of Hotel Mumbai Release A Song By Sunidhi Chauhan And Mithoon, Bharat Salaam As A Homage To Martyrs Of 26/11
Ahead of the film’s release, makers of Hotel Mumbai have launched a new song – Bharat Salaam, which is a song created by the makers as a homage to the martyrs of 26/11 attacks. Composed and sung by Mithoon along with Sunidhi Chauhan and BPraak, it’s a touching number that reiterates people’s belief in humanity. The overarching theme of the film is to celebrate the human spirit which triumphed in the face of adversity on the fateful series of events that started on November 26, 2008.
The song encapsulates the same sentiment and has been written by Mithoon himself. The song also features a choir of 40 singers alongside the notable singers.Talking about the song, Mithoon says, “The makers of the movie were clear that they wanted the song not only to be of specific energy but they also wanted a strong emotion to be expressed through the song. The first thing that I was instantly inspired with was that being an Indian and a Mumbaikar, my strong association with this particular topic was going to be very truthful.
The song highlights and throws light on those people who go above and beyond the call of duty, those who are not obligated to do anything for you but still will cross the barriers and go out of their way for humanity. The title of, Bharat Salaam, is a salute, it is honoring the sacrifice of those people who went out and put themselves on the line for the sake of the city, for the sake of the nation. The song is truly an ode and it’s a salutation to such courage of bravery, to their bravery and above all their love.”
Presented by Zee Studios and Purpose Entertainment, Hotel Mumbai is set to release across India on 29th November in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
