Akshay And Katrina Team Up For Rohit Shetty's “Sooryavanshi"

Rohit Shetty seems to have become the name which guarantees big films to be made with big stars and in record time. On the day he finished the shooting of his last film, “Simbba", he also announced Akshay my as the lead character called Veer Sooryavanshi, the name of the character playing the head of the anti-terrorism squad in his film, “Sooryavanshi"which is now in the making. Akshay has Katrina Kaif as his leading lady and Gulshan Grover who has been spending most of his time playing character roles in Hollywood and other places in the West is returning as “the bad man"in “Sooryavanshi".

Neena Gupta (who turns sixty today, June 7) is playing the role of Akshay's mother and Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Mukesh Tiwari are making guest appearances.

Incidentally, a film called “Sooryavanshi"was made with Salman Khan when he still had to make it as a superstar,“Sooryavansham"was made with Amitabh Bachchan when he and his company, ABCL were struggling to stage a come back and Abhishek Bachchan was very young and yet a livewire production controller.
