The Khiladi of Bollywood is all set for the release of his upcoming socially relevant drama Pad Man on January 25. The actor is leaving no stones unturned to promote his film. He is also trying to raise awareness about sanitary-hygiene during the promotions of the film. In one of the film's promotional event which was held in Pune, the actor stated, “Women are going for tax-free sanitary, but I say it should be completely free. Cut the five percent money from defence, make one bomb less and give it to women to get the sanitary napkin.”
Apart from Akshay Kumar the film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles. Helmed by R. Balki , the film is set to hit the theatres on 25 January which is also the release date for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial and long-delayed film Padmaavat. Both the films are completely different and it will be interesting to see which film will win more box-office collection. After a series of controversy, the film Padmaavat was banned in Rajasthan and Gujarat, which will also affect its business.
