ALIA BHATT ON REUNITING WITH VARUN DHAWAN IN 'KALANK'

Alia Bhatt has an interesting film line up this year. Currently, she is busy promoting Meghna Gulzar's Raazi and is also shooting for Abhishek Varman's Kalank.

The actor who is currently working on three films, namely Gully Boy, Brahmastra, and Kalank. She was asked how she manages to switch between the characters, she said that playing these characters at a time helps her. She also mentioned that shooting with Varun Dhawan in Kalank again always feels super special.

"I went from Raazi to Gully Boy (Zoya Akhtar’s musical-drama) to Brahmastra (Ayan Mukerji’s superhero-actioner), then, back to Gully Boy. After Kalank, I’ll return to Brahmastra. I don’t know how I am doing it, I just show up on the set, taking one day at a time. It helps that I’m an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ person. Kalank is my first epic-drama. It is an ambitious but emotional story. I’m reuniting with Varun (Dhawan) and every time we shoot together, it’s super special. It’s only been four days but I’m completed sucked into the cinematic world Abhishek is creating. On Friday, I will be shooting with Madhuri Dixit for the first time. I hope I don’t forget my lines when I see her smile!," Alia told Mumbai Mirror.

Alia will be seen with Vicky Kaushal in Raazi and the trailer looks promising. Alia has a strong character Sehmat, something she has never played before and the trailer is enticing.

While interacting with Mumbai Mirror, Alia talked about her character and said "Sehmat is not Lara Croft, she’s not physically strong but she’s brave. I learnt the Morse code in order to look convincing when Sehmat is transmitting information from Pakistan. As a RAW agent, I wanted to keep it real and more than the action, I concentrated on body language and in understanding the script, so that we wouldn’t waste any time on set."
