ALIA BHATT'S RAAZI GETS A RELEASE DATE

Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi, where she'll be seen playing a Kashmiri girl, has finally got a release date of May 11, 2018. The 24-year-old actress will play the wife of a Pakistani spy, played by Vicky Kaushal. The duo has started shooting for the movie already.

Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt took to their twitter handle to express their excitement while unveiling the date of release.

The Movie will be directed by Meghna Gulzar (daughter of legendary lyricist Gulzar and veteran actress Rakhee), who has previously directed critically acclaimed films like Filhaal and Talvaar. It's Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt's first movie together. About starring opposite to Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal told the media, "Getting a chance to work with Alia Bhatt, inarguably one the finest actresses in our industry at the moment is a big deal for me. I am really very excited to be a part of the film. She has worked wonderfully in her movies and brings something new to each film. She sets a new benchmark with her releases. I am sure I'll learn a lot from her and working with her will be fun."

Before Raazi, Alia Bhatt will be seen in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh. She's also playing a pivotal role in Ranbir Kapoor's next movie Dragon. Apart from that, Vicky Kaushal will be next seen in Sanjay Dutt's biopic, starring Ranbir Singh.
